Wishes

Advent is almost over.  Baby Jesus will be born and the Christmas season starts.  With that, I wish you all a safe and wonderful Christmas.  May it be merry and full of love and joy.  For those who don't celebrate Christmas, may whatever you do celebrate also be safe and filled with love and joy.

We*ndy Wh*ite - Mary Did You Know

(This is a partial re-do of an old post.)

I'll just mention once again that I love Wendy White's voice.  (Ms. White is a mezzo-soprano with the Metropolitan Opera.)

This video is not professionally recorded so it starts out a little wobbly, and there are some "schreechies". Please bear with it; I hope you will find it worth it.

If a message says "Video no longer available" click on the play button anyway. Thanks.

By Lowry and Green (?)

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the Lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the "Great I am".

Merry Christmas

Whoa!  I didn't realize how long it had been since I last posted.  Sorry.  Hopefully, the New Year will encourage more frequent and interesting posts.

In the meantime:

Merry Christmas!

Easter

Alleluia! Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

With beautiful eggs like these, who needs to dye any? (Fresh eggs courtesy of my friend's mother-in-law and her chickens.)

Another bit of nostalgia.

My mother (the little one) and two of her cousins near Zuni or Black Rock, New Mexico, Easter 1936

Happy Easter, Everyone. May you have a wonderful day.

Update 9:33 PM Saturday evening, April 3: About 15 minutes ago, there was an earthquake in Yellowstone National Park. I didn't feel it, but the animals did! The dogs went nuts; they were barking hysterically and running around the house and back and forth from door to door. (Yes, it scared the bejeepers out of me!) The cats have been pacing all afternoon. Hmmmm. (Blasted edit program! Font size is shown small here, but huge when posted!)

A Sweetheart

I told you all that I was losing it. I would have sworn that in the cedar chest there were a couple of Valentine's cards drawn and colored by yours truly when I was 7 or 8. However, the cards turned out to be Easter (egg-shaped) cards.

(The cat also decided to snoop. She jumped on the tray in the cedar chest which closed the lid and shut her in. Ooooo, was she mad! To add to her "injury", of course, I had to laugh at her.)

Anyway, cut me a little slack. I did find this heart.

Happy Valentine's Day. :)
