Excuse me, unless you are all for being ruled by a dictator - no matter what party you lean toward - this should make you and me very, very scared.

The Obama administration aims to put members of the GOP on the spot, forcing them to compromise on issues or be portrayed as obstructionists.
I will admit I didn't get any further than this. It made me so mad; I had to stop reading.

Ah, they are trying to force Governor Paterson out. In my opinion, it would be good to see him out, but I don't think it is right that the presidency picks and chooses who goes. They've been making it real hard on him.

"Obama administration aims to put members of the GOP on the spot, forcing them to compromise on issues or be portrayed as obstructionists."
But, this is so obvious. How can anyone fall for this ploy?
Yes, we should be furious, that it is being tried.
But we should not be surprised.
As for myself, I am no longer surprised by anything this Admin. does. :-(
I did not vote for Obama and I do not like what he is doing to this country. Yes the snow is gone here and the daffodils and hyacinths are poking their heads up. We have had 3 beautiful days here. Thank you for your visit to my blog and nice comment. Have a blessed Sunday.
Obstructionist is a very good word depending upon the situation. If one obstructs what would be bad for the country, that's a good thing. I'm hoping that the GOP will decide to be labeled "obstructionists." Personally, I'll cheer.
I don't get to involved in political discussions . . . but . . . it seems to me that we are losing our freedom of free thinking and just plain doing the right thing! If certain members of the GOP truly feel like they should obstruct, then they should stick to their guns, no matter what they are labeled. But they should do it for the right reason, not just because they belong to one party or the other - not because compromise, might make them look bad or because of their intense dislike for the other party. I'm talking about BOTH parties here, not just the Republicans or Democrats! There needs to be more gray area and less black and white. Our country is in too big of a mess to have pettiness from either party, they need to work together.
I agree with Aunt Amelia though- nothing they do surprises me, very sad!
Vee is right, OBSTRUCTING the BO admin is a good thing! So what is names hurt your feelings LOL.
Packie, I've given you an award, it's over on my blog.
ok, call me an obstructionist!
Morning! Hope that you'll visit me today as I have a cheerful word for you!
Hi! I came over to congratulate you on winning Vee's tea cozy
I don't touch politics on my blog so "no comment" :-)
This is terrible but I have the hardest time reading political stuff anymore. I just get ticked off.
Hooray for Obstuctionists.....the right to disagree is what makes this country great. BO's administration reminds me of when there are govt overturned. The new regime goes after anyone who is different than they. For example : tracking down former CIA agents to prosecute, having people report "fishy" emails to the White House, and now this......
Oh, don't even get me started on this.
It's like "no" just doesn't compute.
was it obama or the fish
who "done you in?"
we miss you.
It is VERY scary when certain people are seen as "obstructionist" if they aren't 100% behind the propaganda of this presidency. I am a child of the sixties and back then liberals said, "I may not like or believe in what you say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it". Not anymore. I have "woken uP" to alot of the sixties misinformation I believed in and didn't know what the heck it meant. To make those who go to Tea Parties into the villans is obviously trying to demonize free speech. Zootsuitmama
